Term 3Audition Unit

Rehearsal Etiquette Unit □ I can show Ms. Cotten, Mrs. Grace, and my classmates that I can work in an ensemble by abiding by the Willowcreek Middle School Performing Arts Contract. □ I can prepare myself to perform in the school musical by using my rehearsal time to practice the vocal music, dance, and acting. □ I can work cooperatively with my double for music, choreography, blocking, and scheduling conflicts. Voice/Music Unit □ I can recognize and use proper vocal technique. □ I can define the different musical genres □ I can recognize and use basic music theory (notes, time signatures, keys, rhythms, singing in parts) □ I can analyze the music in order to determine how I will perform in that piece. Term 4Dance Unit

Theater Unit □ I can explain how musical theater has evolved through the ages □ I can act (use characterization, objectives, and tactics) during a song. □ I can show Ms. Cotten, Mrs. Grace, and the audience how to use active listening during a performance. Musical Production Unit □ I can show Ms. Cotten, Mrs. Grace, and my classmates that I can work in an ensemble by abiding by the Willowcreek Middle School Performing Arts Contract. □ I can prepare myself to perform in the school musical by using my rehearsal time to practice the vocal music, dance, and acting. □ I can work cooperatively with my double for music, choreography, blocking, and scheduling conflicts. □ I can perform in all my scheduled performances to produce the school musical.
