The following people need to prepare the music and callbacks for tomorrow. Please download the music and do the best you can to memorize it before tomorrow afternoon. If you have trouble downloading it, please send Ms. Jennings an email and we'll get it worked out. Look at ALL the lists...some of you are on there more than once! Please send me a confirmation email so I can make sure you got the info! [email protected] Click HERE for the callback info. If it's password protected, that means you didn't read the other blog post. :) It has the password in it. Dear Parents of Musical Theater Students,
It has come to our attention that the after school vocal rehearsals scheduled for next week are conflicting with: Minimal Day, The Valentines Dance, and Parent Teacher Conferences. Due to these conflicts we are going to move the rehearsals to the Tuesday-Friday of the Following week. The after school rehearsal schedule will now read as follows: Tues. Feb. 21st: Vocal Rehearsal (3-5pm) Wed. Feb. 22nd: Vocal Rehearsal (3-5pm) Thurs. Feb. 23rd: Vocal Rehearsal (3-5pm) Fri. Feb. 24th: Vocal Rehearsal (3-5pm) Thank you for your patience and understanding as we do our best to make this rehearsal process as productive and cohesive as possible. ~The Once On This Island Production Team Ms. Jennings, Mrs. Grace, Mrs. Stout P.S. Please feel free to take a look at the callback list. Callbacks will be held right after school in the auditorium on Friday, Feb. 10th. The password to look at the website is WCDrama. :) We are holding our parent meeting for the musical theater class tonight at 6:00 p.m. in the auditorium. If you cannot attend, please click on the link below. There you can find the packet containing all the info from the meeting.

If your name is on this list, you may go to the counseling office and request a class change to be in Musical Theater during second semester. Ben Galvan Ben Unwin Brady Lindsey Casey Josephson Chandler Willey Cole Hough Connor Hough Derek Agbamey* Devin Durrant* Matt Wester Tucker Andrus *Please come and see me ASAP Congratulations to our wonderful Shakespeare Team! We had a fantastic year this year and I'm really proud of all the hard work you did. Here are the results:
2nd Place: Duo/Trio Scene-Michael Nelson, Ashley Coombs 1st Place: Monos-Mikaela Bello 1st Place: Ensemble Scene 1st Place: Sweepstakes (overall) Fantastic work, everyone! Holy cow. What great auditions! First, let me thank you for being so prepared for these performances. It is a real treat for me to be your teacher this year and to work with such dedicated students.
Please remember what this experience is about. We are here as a collaborative effort, to put together this production as a group of people who truly enjoy what they are doing. Theater makes us better people because it gives us a way to explore and understand the world and its peoples. Don't forget that. I KNOW how hard it is to not get the part that you want. I wish I could have 5 different casts, but I am one person, and we are making the best "cake" with this production that we can. I expect that all of you continue to be a supportive and positive force for good in our cast. Please make sure you follow the instructions for the cast list. Some of you may not because you'll want to skip all the way down to the end to find the cast list. :) We still like you, but we need you to read the instructions too. :) 1)Make sure that you send Ms. Jennings an email at [email protected] to accept your role in this show. Please put "Parent of" in the subject line so it makes it through our spam filter. 2)We will be having a pancake breakfast next week at our first rehearsal. Please come at 7:45 on Tuesday morning and I'll make you breakfast before class starts. :) 3) PLEASE go through your script and write out, in your own words, what EVERY line means. I realize it's going to be a lot of work, but our show will not be good for anyone if you don't know what anyone is saying onstage. This includes the ensemble members! You can't react appropriately to what is happening if you don't know what they're saying. You should come with the first half of the script done (up to page 14) no later than Thursday. The rest of the script should be finished before I leave for Cedar City (Oct. 6). 4) Start working on memorization NOW. Memorize breaths too. Remember you breathe on all the punctuation marks. :) 5) And finally. Since you've read all the instructions, you'll know you need a password to get to the cast list. :) That password is WCDrama.
